If you are looking to escape this summer and want a remote off-the-wall location to venture… grab your friends or family and head to Kitch-Iti-Kipi in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. The “Big Cold Water” as it is often called is a massive spring that measures about 300 feet by 175 fee and 40 feed deep with an emerald bottom. 10,000 gallons of water per minute enter into the lake and holds a temperature of 45 degrees Fahrenheit at all times. This geological wonder is off the beaten path at the end of M-149. If you are looking to get out this summer – this road trip might be one worth exploring!
